Frequently Asked Questions

Is the entire course ONLINE?

Yes it is! We filmed every lecture lab and workout for you to enjoy in the comfort of your own home. 

When does the course start?

As soon as you sign up it activates you account immediately. When you sign in you will see over 100 videos of lectures, labs and workouts. 

How long do I have to complete the course? 

The videos are there for 1 year to play as many times as you would like. 

How long does it take to complete the course? 

It can be done in 2-3 months, however, you have up to a year to take the time you need. 

What do I need to take the Mat and Reformer course? 

For the Reformer course you need access to a Reformer.  For some students they own one already, or they are renting time with reformers at their local Pilates studio! We encourage ALL of our students to work with a Pilates Instructor with any background! 

Who is eligible to take the course? 

Anyone who has a passion for healing and movement! We have all ages and walks of life teaching NEU Pilates. 

Do I have to want to be a Pilates Instructor to take the course? 

NO. We have many students that have taken the course to learn more about their own bodies. They have said the in depth learning has been a game changer to get back to doing what they love before injury.

Do I have to take the exam? 

Only if you want to teach clients and become a certified Neu Pilates Instructor. 

What does the exam cost and look like? 

The exam cost is 200 dollars. It is an online written exam with Anatomy and Neu Pilates questions. Then there is a video submission where you send in a video of you teaching a workout and answering some questions that we send you.  You need 80 percent and above to pass.

How many practice teaching hours do I need to prepare for the exam?

We strongly encourage 25 hours of practice teaching. It is up to you when you feel ready. For example if you have been teaching for the last 5 years you may not need that many hours of practice. On the other hand some of our students felt ready to take their exam after completing 100 practice teaching hours. 

How do I get Insurance? 

Insurance is through Sports Fitness Canada and Idea Fitness in the United States. After you pass your exam you can submit your Certificate of Completion and application and they will activate you insurance.Then you get to teach students.

Do I need practical hours to complete the course?

Yes and No. It totally depends on YOU. For some people they have done Pilates for 5 years prior to taking the course, for others two weeks. For each person it is different. We really want you to be able to feel the moves and the cues. If you are having any challenges with that we highly recommend booking zoom privates or in Studio privates with one of our Certified Neu Pilates Instructors. We believe that if you can feel the move you can teach the move. 

Will I get hired with the certification of this course? 

We have certified Neu Pilates Instructors that are working at boutique Pilates studios, Large franchise Pilates Studios, Physiotherapy Clinics and home based businesses.
